Program Description: The SPVA Lab Network is a group of participating labs that will collaborate with SPVA members, prospective members and the SPVA's Technical Working Groups on security evaluations of the SPVA implementation guidelines. The SPVA Lab Network will work together with other members in sharing best practices and raising the security level within the POS industry.
Eligibility Requirements: Participating SPVA Lab Network members organizations must meet the following minimum eligibility requirements:
- Provide information security evaluations in the POS industry
- Authorized Qualified Security Assessor (QSA)
- Provide evaluations in the PIN entry and device security
- Approved by the PCI to evaluate compliance with the PCI Data Security Standard (PCI DSS), the Payment Application Data Security Standard (PA DSS) and accredited to test PIN Entry Devices for compliance with the compulsory PCI standards (PCI PED)
Lab Network Benefits:
- Organization listing with logo and link to organization Website on the SPVA Website (Opportunities section)
- Organization name listed in a rotating banner on homepage of SPVA Website
- Organization listing with link to organization Website in each edition of the SPVA e-Newsletter
- Recognition in SPVA Press Releases, Twitter and Blog postings as topics permit
- Permission to download and use the SPVA Lab Network logo on the organization Website, printed materials and other mediums
- Permission to link to the SPVA website (homepage only) when either the SPVA logo or SPVA name is used / promoted on the organization Website
Annual Lab Network Fee: $25,000 USD, payable upon notification of acceptance. Fee does not include membership in SPVA, or any benefits of membership. Applicant must complete the SPVA Membership Application and Agreement form in order to apply for membership in SPVA.
Lab Network Member Term: Twelve (12) months from date of acceptance of application, renewing annually upon payment of Lab Network fee.
Acceptance into Lab Network: In those cases where the applicant meets the eligibility requirements, final action of acceptance of Lab Network member organizations shall be by determination of the Board of Directors. An applicant who is rejected may resubmit an amended application, but in all cases the Board of Directors shall have the sole discretion to make the final determination as to the approval or rejection of applications.
